Athlete’s foot or tinea pedis

Dry skin can also be caused by tinea pedis, a fungal infection that usually appears between the toes. These fungal infections can make the skin become scaly, dry, itchy, reddish, cracked or blistered. Psoriasis

Hypoparathyroid

Dry scaly skin can also be a symptom of hypoparathyroid, a rare condition that occurs when the parathyroid gland in the neck does not produce enough parathyroid hormone (PTH). The amount of PTH that causes too little calcium in the body decreases and phosphorus levels increase. This is what makes the skin become dry and scaly.
